Official opening of the arena has taken place on 29th of October. It will not, however, opened with great gusto.
Lviv stadium project assumes that it will accommodate 33 500 spectators. The whole object is to be covered, and part of the roof will be transparent to ensure adequate sunlight turf.
At the Lviv stadium VIPs will be allocated in 1,593 places. Western grandstand stadium in Lviv will include conference rooms, VIP, offices and a restaurant. Assurances by the contractor facility will meet all UEFA requirements necessary for international football matches.
On the new stadium in Lviv will be held three group stage matches of EURO 2012.
However there is an issue of the distance from the city center to the new stadium, which is over 7.5 km. Near the object does not work any trolleybus or tram line.

The new stadium in Lviv was built especially for Euro 2012 tournament. Works on the arena started in November 2008. Unfortunately there were some delays. March 2010, selected a new contractor was chosen, who assured him that manage to complete the construction of the stadium until July 2011.
